Hicksville Gardens Oil Consortium

There are currently over 290 families participating in the Hicksville Gardens Oil Consortium (HGOC). On the last Thursday of June, at a meeting held at the Hicksville Public Library, the membership will be informed of the Oil Provider and price per gallon.

Contract Terms

(Contract period for the Hicksville Gardens Oil Consortium is from July 1st, 2023 thru June 30th, 2024)

Pricing Plans

For the current contract period, Oil Consortium members have access to the following plan:

  • A “Fixed Price Plan” of $3.459 per gallon for the contract period (will never go higher or lower).  This price will be honored through July 1, 2024.
  • These contract terms are for Hicksville Gardens Oil Consortium members only.

Pricing and plan availability for enrollment after the signup period will be at the discretion of the Service Provider and subject to prevailing market conditions

Service Contract

 oil_can_2-47x50  A FREE 1 year service contract (Premier Agreement Plan – $165.95 value) includes the following coverage:

  • Complete replacement of accessible 275 gallon basement oil tank
  • Annual vacuum cleaning
  • Annual burner tune-up with CO2 test to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Emergency service available 24/7 with office staff.  You get a “live body” not an answering service or voice mail.
  • Additional heating zones
  • Water heater – tune-up and replacement of burner & controls. Tank not included

Additional Coverage

Optional Service Plan is an upgraded service.  It is available at an additional cost of $65/yr + tax. 

oil_can_2-47x50  This plan includes hot water boiler coverage, with repair or complete replacement of:

  • Boiler
  • Hot Water Coil
  • Exposed heating pipes and/or baseboards

NOTE: The issuance of any service contract or coverage is subject to inspection of the equipment which must be accessible and deemed in working order

Early Termination of Contract

 An early termination fee of $599.00 will apply if you terminate your contract before the end of the contract period.  Remember, the oil provider is buying oil in advance in anticipation of your usage.

Membership Terms

The contract period for the Hicksville Gardens Oil Consortium is from July 1st thru June 30th each year.

If you have a contract with your current oil provider you must be out of contract by June 30th in order that you may start with an HGOC Service Provider on July 1st.  If you are joining mid-heating season it is still necessary for you to be out of contract with your current oil provider in order to sign with a new provider.  

WARNING!   Breaking a contract early may subject you to an early termination fee!

Members of the Hicksville Gardens Oil Consortium (HGOC) must be members of the Hicksville Gardens Civic Association.  Any new members must reside in Hicksville.  Regular membership is provided for those who reside within our civic boundaries and Associate membership is provided for those who reside outside our civic boundaries.  For the purposes of membership the boundaries of the HGCA are all residences:

  • south of Old Country Road
  • west of South Oyster Bay Road
  • east of Jerusalem Avenue
  • and north of Bloomingdale and Scooter Roads.
