The HGCA graciously invites volunteers from the community to help us further our mission.

Young members of the community who volunteer with us are able to earn community service hours. A number of groups have worked with us in the past:

• HHS National Honor Society
• Hicksville Robotics Team 1468 – The J-Birds
• Hicksville Junior Firefighters
• Girl Scout Troop 3181
• Daisy Troup 3361

We have several current areas of opportunity:

Technology

• Operating livestream at meetings (~2 hrs)
• Transcribing meeting notes
• Taking photos and videos at meetings & events
• Managing social media posts
• Website maintenance

Beautification

• Community Cleanup activities
• Memorial Day Flags
  • Preparation
  • Distribution

Event Management

• Table/booth setup
• Takedown
