Eagle Scout Project A Beautiful Success!
On October 9, 2010 we received a nice thank you from Life Scout Joseph Marcus (a resident family member of the HGCA) who successfully
completed his Eagle Scout Project.

Joe took on a project to beautify a location in Hicksville by adding fencing and lattice around the "Welcome to Hicksville" sign at Old Country Road
and Levittown Parkway.  He also added a solar light for night viewing and flowers to beautify the spot.

East Triangle Beautification Project
On December 8, 2010 County Legislator Rose Walker provided the Hicksville Gardens Civic Association with a copy of the plans for the
beautification of the East Triangle located at Old Country Road and South Oyster Bay Road, Hicksville.

The project is being developed by Nassau County and will include new curbing, stamped concrete, paving stones, grass and shrubbery, a new
"Welcome to Hicksville" sign with white plastic fencing and a flagpole with lighting.

Development has already started with the removal of the old bushes and the planting of some trees.
