| Downtown Revitalization Study |
As part of former County Executive Tom Suozzi's "New Suburbia" and "Cool Downtowns" initiatives, the visioning process for Hicksville provided a means to
engage community residents and local leaders through a series of workshops and public meetings to plan for the future of downtown Hicksville.
Currently there are two organizations involved in the planning process for a Revitalization of Downtown Hicksville, Vision Long Island which is working with the
Hicksville Chamber of Commerce, and Sustainable Long Island which has been contracted by the Town of Oyster Bay.
The HGCA is part of the planning process and participates in meetings and workshops hosted by each of the organizations.
